Any suggestions on who to take this week in the pool. Were down to 23 people. Teams used: Rams, Pats, Eagles, Colts & Falcons.. Leaning toward Jets

im in a survival pool that had 1100 people in it and has gotten down to 225. im in almost the same scenario. i've used rams, pats, broncos, eagles, colts. I narrowed it down to jets, titans and bills. Im going to go with the jets because i feel the niners are really a bad team and losing peterson will hurt their defense even more. i see like a 31-17 jets win this weekend. good luck!

I like to look ahead. In week 8 the Jets host Miami and Cincy is at Tenn, not much else. I know anything can happen between now and then, but it is something to look at. I am alive as well and am thinking Jets, but willing to be talked out of it.

I'm leaning towards Tennessee myself although I agree that the Jets look good. Only 60 left in mine so I actually have to start thinking about these picks...

I wouldn't go anywhere near Detroit...Posted enough reasons around the place! Starting to sound like a broken record (scratched CD?), but this game is very injury dependant.

Not that sold on Tenn either. Houston won @ KC, and Tenn are statistically very similar. (In fact slightly worse....allow more ypc, throw for less yards, allow more sacks and TD's...slightly better pass D...but alow a greater %!)

How about Minnesota? Road fav I know, but they should smash a terrible NO.

Jets shouldn't have too many problems.

Oh, and fwiw, I think Miami might get up over Buff too ;)

I've been planning on using the Vikings in week 8, but the Giants continue to look better and better, so I'm not so sure. Right now I'm planning doing one of two things:

Plan A
this week: Jets
next week: Jamal-less Ravens at home vs. Buffalo
week 8: Seattle over Carolina at home

Plan B
this week: Jets
next week: Seattle over Arizona on the road
week 8: Vikings over NYG at home

This was a $10 pool with a prize of just over 4k, down to like 97 players now. So I really want to win it. I'm not sure of what I want to do just yet.

I was going to play the Jets myself but seeing everybody on the Jets scares the hell out of me! :scared
They have been unable to put anyone away all year and the could be looking ahead to New England next week!

Jets Fan that is the key here. Will the J-E-T-S be looking ahead to the Pats? Well even if they are I can't see them losing here but it does make SF +10 attractive.

bjfinste, just a word of caution, the Giants have played well against dome teams even in the domes. Check St. Louis and Minny last 3-4 years.

Good luck to all those who are still alive. Me, I got @*^&ed
week 1 with Houston

I am a big Giants fan, im telling you right now pick a different team for week 8 or you will be history. Giants look great and Minny looks awful. We have a knack over the vikes. Giants win on the field!

Thanks for the info guys.

I think this is the game plan:

Week 6: Jets @ home over the 49ers
Week 7: Seattle @ over Arizona
Week 8: Tennessee @ home over Cincinnati
Week 9: Denver @ home over Houston

If I make it to week 10 we'll go from there.

Good luck

Sounds like a good plan - good luck!

The pool I was in is down to only 4 with some poor sucker biting it with the Sea collapse last week. I went down with Balt to KC 2 weeks ago - still hurts.

Jets is a good pick this week

also Atlanta (SD still sucks on the road), Rams (don't see how the Bucs can score on the road with Griese) and Philly worth having a look

If you read my Sunday picks[most people don't but i'm doing ok] 66%
i "The Jets Fan" took Buffalo and the points and said it would come down to a late field goal. I can see San Francisco Winning this game out right if the Jets look ahead. Now with Moss Doughtful [even though he hasn't done squat] this is a toss up game.I'm on SF and the points for sure! Atlanta's my pick in the suicide pool.Oh yeah Go J. E .T .S jets jets jets

this game is far from a toss up. losing peterson will be huge for the jets offense to pile on even more points. just because they scored 31 against the lousy cardinals doesn't mean they're gonna play the jets tough. jets won't be looking ahead, well not till they're up 17+ in the 2nd half. jets 31-17
