Is it the only way to go when the Kings take the floor without their 2nd leading scorer Stojakovic?
-Let's first look at what Stojakovic has done in the first 3 games:
*game 1 he had 26 points
*game 2 he had 14 points
*game 3 he left midway through the 3rd and had 6
*game 4 he won't play
-Yes, he had over his seasonal average of 21 pts/gm in game one.....but since he's not even come close and doesn't appear he'll contribute ANYTHING today.
-Yet.....his best scoring game is the only one of the 3 that went under the total of 210'!! Now that's eye opening.
-Plus, Stojakovic is the main reason Nowitzki has been under his 23 pt/gm seasonal average in the last 3 games!
-It looks to me like the Kings will miss Stojakovic more for his defense than his offense today.
-On Thursday night Nash was a horrid 5 of 19 and Nowitzki went only 6 of 15. But the Mavs still managed 119 thanks to Finley's 37 and LaFrentz step'n up with 23.
WHAT'S ALL THIS MEAN FOR TODAY?
I think the Kings will still run with the Mavs. They've won 2 of 3 doing it.....why stop now??
I think Nowitzki (after his meeting with Nellie yesterday) will get back in rhythm without Stojakovic hang'n all over him.
I think Nash has a game 4 closer to game 2 rather than game 3. He was definitely off his game Thursday night.
I think the Kings can't guard every Mavrick player like a blanket.....and someone named Van Exel (who ran his mouth about play'n on a "winner") needs to step it up like Finley and LaFrentz did game 3!
*Van Exel only scored 7 "frick'n" points on Thursday night.
I think you gotta feel real uncomfortable "step'n in front of the UNDER train" today. Nowitzki should break loose at some point and hopefully it's today without Stojakovic around.
And to say, "Take the under.....Stojakovic (King's 2nd leading scorer) is out"....well that just doesn't hold water at all. SAC managed 125 on Thursday night and only 6 of those were from Predrag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
