Does anyone know why Det took out a starter pitching a damn good game early in the 5th with one out and men on first and second and brought in a reliever with a 10 era to cost me a solid under play. Been hot about it ever since. Left him in 3 innings giving up runs every inning. Was there a reason or is management that bad?

i dunno gsp, but i wouldn't call four runs and six hits in 5 1/3 innings with a couple walks "a damn good game".

he had thrown 93 pitches by then too.

Blair was just a mess though.

When he left the game he had given up 2 runs, had one out, and a man on first and second. The reliever immediately gave up 4 runs, 2 were counted against the starter. Why bring the worst reliever you have got when you have a 2-2 ballgame and leave him in when he is giving up runs every inning.

i agree gsp, had the under also. but more importantly, i think the question is why the hell do you even have willie blair on your roster? detroit would be better served letting someone from the minors come up and pitch middle relief.
