7 teamer pays 70-1:
New York Mets -1? (+105)
Atlanta Braves -143
Los Angeles Dodgers/San Diego Padres Over 9 (-115)
Detroit Tigers/Kansas City Royals Under 9 (-120)
Los Angeles Angels -123
Houston Astros -1? (-130)
Vegas Golden Knights/San Jose Sharks Under 5? (-115)
Cleveland/N.Y. Yankees 1:05 pm-Clevinger (German -- Clevinger 1.88 ERA last 14 appearances, and very good on the road of late.... German's 1st MLB start, he is just off blanking Houston last Tues for 4 innings (61 pitches). Has 3.77 ERA in five appearances this season, 18 strikeouts in 14 1⁄3 innings. He's pitching for a spot in the rotation with Monty out for a while, and questions still about Cessa, Adams and Sheffield...but not sure how much starters are going to matter as Yanks been way down after 5 last few games, only then to storm back and win, and they've outscored opponents 91-33 in last 15 games, contributing to the best start in over a decade....line opened about right, but it keeps getting better for the dog, I just might take Cleveland, and their hot bats of late, to avoid the sweep..and the over again
Toronto/Tampa Bay 1:10 pm-Estrada (Archer -- Estrada off a poor season, and this one not going so well with even more homers allowed than last season...Archer been struggling too, but some nights his main pitches are working and that's enough, but no enough to earn his "ace" status...you'd think a lotta runs here, with these starters (gobs of overs in their recent starts) and the promise in these bats, but I don't like this HP ump for that....line for the favorite seems about right as Toro has a sweep to avoid
Colorado/N.Y. Mets 1:10 pm-Freeland (Syndergaard -- Freeland is off a pair of 7 inning quality starts! What's the chance of 3 in a row? Never good with him, especially a road start... Thor still not been his old dominant self, he has plenty QS but last one he allowed 10 hits and had only 3 SO. He should be better here, against these bats (and Freeland's been provided with decent run support in only 1 of his 6 starts this season)...Mets have not been swept in a 6 game home stand since 2012....so Mets -1.5
Philadelphia/Washington 1:35 pm-Arrieta (Scherzer -- Arrieta's BABIP luck and heavy reliance on primary pitches finally caught up with him in last start. Normally, you'd say a fine bounce back here, but not quite so sure anymore, but he should....Washington is 13-3 in Scherzer?s last 16 home starts..so on WA of course, the runline I suppose, and that Under.
San Francisco/Atlanta 1:35 pm-Su?rez (Soroka -- Su?rez went 21-18 with a 3.20 ERA over 57 career starts in Minors, his step up to big club about what you'd expect given the stiffer competition there...Soroka has more impressive stuff, especially commanding that fastball and it's sink (1.33 GO/AO career#s, with 2.07 so far this year) , so on that and avoid sweep angle, gonna take ATL today.
Minnesota/Chi. White Sox 2:10 pm-Gibson (Shields -- who knows what we get with these starters? Considering bats of late, esp MN's and Gibson is better (3.11 FIP on the season and he's getting career high wiffs) and CWS + Shields so rotten at home, I'm on MN and leaning to the over...tho note Twins have the worst bullpen FIP in baseball and Gibson not go deep much
Pittsburgh/Milwaukee 2:10 pm-Kuhl (Anderson -- Kuhl's been Kuhl of late, but always good vs Milk, Anderson still not quite get it all together, but days he does, pretty good!...I'm on Milk and under 5, but not sure full game over considering these pens pretty good but heavy usage of late...Pitt is pretty unpredictable offense, so the dog might be some good value if line for Brewers keeps climbing
Detroit/Kansas City 2:15 pm-Boyd (Junis -- Boyd getting it done somehow, does have very lucky bat balls and strand rate, but velocity picking up. His one bad start he was sick that day. KC plate disciple bad (like Detroit) and not many homers (most all of Boyd's few runs allowed this season via home)...Junis bounce back in last start as expected, should be able to handle these Detroit bats...I'm on the under and since the side seems a toss up to me, value is on the dog Tigers
Boston/Texas 3:05 pm-Sale (Fister -- Boston is 4-3 in Sale starts this season, Texas is 3-2 in Fister starts. Fister with his usual ok starts with plenty hits and walks, hence the line vs these bats, but not deserved...Boston has not let Sale go too deep, keeping his innings down, and this tired bullpen he has today is what let him down in last start (vs Kansas)...so yea, I like the dog value...and over
Baltimore/Oakland 4:05 pm-Cobb (Triggs -- Cobb might be rounding into form, time will tell. Boy, we need to throw some strikes!...Triggs is his ever unpredictable self, who knows what we get today....so lean to the over considering these pens usage and you'd think Baltimore bats will respond after getting blanked
Houston/Arizona 4:10 pm-Verlander (Koch -- Koch been way better than his minor #s suggested, but it might just have been the weak bats he's faced. Until today....Houston -1.5
L.A. Dodgers/San Diego 4:10 pm-Hill (Lauer -- Dodgers been very cautious with Hill's finger issues, another time he might have just pitched thru them, still, who knows how it will go off DL as he wasn't up to speed before it...oops, we got Stripling now. This guy is good reliever, but only a meh starter, not go deep....Lauer had bad MLB debut at Coors (duh!) and vg vs those bad SF bats, so prolly not so good here...on that over and SD dog as LAD been almost as bad as SD last few weeks.
Miami/Cincinnati 4:10 pm-Straily (Finnegan -- both these starters got a late start and decidedly not up to snuff yet, so that Over!
L.A. Angels/Seattle 4:10 pm-Ohtani (Hern?ndez -- who knows how Ohtani blister is gonna go?...F?lix's command been much better recent starts, but he is sporting a 5.32 FIP and facing these LAA bats, so I like that over more than anything...but with LAA bats, gotta take LAA this price
Chi. Cubs/St. Louis 8:08 pm-Lester (Wacha -- ESPN -- can cubbies avoid sweep vs hated rivals? Seems a toss up to me...
