Tampa Bay (Sturtze/Clemens) +227 I know some of you will think I am crazy but let's see if you still feel that way after this game is over. Tanyon Sturtze has one advantage over his fellow pitchers he owns a 3-0 record against the Yankees, pitching 7 innings in his last start in New York with no runs scored in a 4-0 Tampa Bay win. Clemens only lasted 4.1 innings in his first start of the year after getting drilled by a ball in his throwing hand he has not fared all that well against the Devil Rays losing both of his last two starts against them and they can hit him. The Yankees have not dominated this team winning 4-0 in the first game and 3-0 yesterday I think we have a good chance to win this game and at this price, I think Clemens will still be feeling the effects of that ball he was hit by won't be the first time he has taken the mound hurt.
Atlanta Braves (Leiter/Moss) +120 I will take my chances with the young pitcher here the Braves will not get swept Leiter has not fared well against the Braves in 4 starts last year the Mets were 1-3 and the Braves are hitting lefties very solid this year with a team average of .600 so far this year while the Mets are only hitting .217 as a team against lefthanders and have never faced this kid. So I will take the Braves to prevent the sweep here.
LA Dodgers (Hampton/Brown) -157 Well Hampton looked very shaky in his first start and now must face a team that has dominated him in his last start in LA he only lasted 2.1 innings giving up 9 earned runs and the Rockies were 0-4 when he started last year against the Dodgers. Kevin Brown had a very bad start in his first trip to the mound this year but I look for him to get back on track here against the Rockies who are showing the same problems on the road as they had last year. So let's lay the price and take the hot hitting Dodgers against a pitcher they will pound early and often!
