It will be a shame if this horse isn't able to get into the field for the Derby. He's one of the top contenders, yet due to the money won criteria, he may not get into the race. Most handicappers feel the Wood was the top prep race, and arguably, Sunday Break may have been the best horse. He was beaten a half-length by Buddha but he was 3 wide on both turns while Buddha had a ground saving trip. The Sheets gave him the top number. The only negative is a possible bounce, after running such a big number and improving by so much, he may need more than 3 weeks to be fully recovered. Drysdale is one of the best trainers and this horse is a major contender.

I'll echo that. Drysdale is one of the best. He needs very few preps to get his horses ready - but when they show up in big races, they are ready. Unless it rains and there are scratches, it doesn't look like he will make it.
