my goal was to make atleast 50 units for the year with things going now i maybe down 50 units in a few weeks...so if i don't hit my 10 unit play i am out...even if i hit it the smart thing to do is take time off

Know how you feel, bro. 0-3, -7 units yesterday myself. Was up to 65 Units, 3 days later down to 50 Units. At $300 per unit, that's around $4500 I lost just in 3 days. Will take my 3rd break of the season if I show no profits today.

I'm on the Avs with ya, though. When we agree on a pick, it's usually good luck. Just a regular play for me, as this could be a trap spot for the Avs playing the Canes in a sandwich game between Dal and Det. But they haven't lost to the Canes in L10 dating back to the Harford days.

Good luck today, buddy.

hey u got to be lucky to be good..or is it the other way around...i will take it, i got screwed has many times :p

I can't speak for dub but I do put a lot into my plays I don't realize that until I lose:shrug:

I will still be using the 2,3 & 5 unit system but i will be just playing 2-3 games per day now less if possible...instead of playing 7 games & risking like 15 units per day...the key is $$$ management I have done good on that Sept to nov but got cocky the last month but I hit back to reality yesterday

very true bud .. luck gotta be there and gotta have some moneymanagement in place ..

I learned a lot from mistakes of people on the net and friends ..
so am playing either 1% 2% or 3% max of bankroll now that it has crossed $2500.

was playing upto 5% before but am gonna restrict myself to the best plays will less chances of damage to the bankroll.

Good luck

I know what you mean, Spock. My aggressive money management system usually scare people off, but it's not something I made up. Actually learned pretty much everything about capping hockey from an old timer who's a chronic, yet successful capper, including his money management system. Basically 4% bankroll each unit, plays rank from 1 to 4 units. This is something I only use for hockey and baseball, so I bet much much less in foots and hoops per unit. It's made me a lot of green since I started 3 yrs ago. Started with $2500, then next yr $5000, now this yr $7500, so I'm actually playing with my bookie's money this yr. But every season I start with .5, 1, 1.5, 2unit plays until I hit 20units, then I go up a unit to 3, then 4. Actually only had 3 4Unit plays this yr, going 1-2. Don't usually go crazy with plays, but there're some days where the system calls for 2 plays, some days it calls for 8 plays. Then again, there're also nights where you go "fawk it" and go nuts :D. The way I play, though, being mostly dogs, afford me to go .500 or less and still make money, and it's the only way this particular money management system can be successful. And you gotta be able to walk away for a break when you hit a bad streak, as I've already done twice this season, when the favs were going nuts late November, and around X-mas time. So there is, in fact, a money management AND a capping system that I use.;)

CHEERS! and GO QUACKS!!!:D

Recap

Recap

2-1 +16.90 units:cool:

Really 2-0 but I had to hedge my parlay....after losing 22 units on Saturday i got almost 17 units back(should have been 19)

Everybody should have some kind of system they use.;) ...plus everyone should keep a record of there plays on a book or on the PC...i also like to keep track of my sides, totals, parlay's, ect... to see which ones i should risk more on or not due to my success...

Back to 50 units again:) ...my goal for the season was to get 50 units AND still is but i think I can take a run for 70 units(i was there once not so long ago)

I am now 2-0 on 10 unit plays

(update records later)...
