Hate laying that many points but Flyers have stumbled recently so think they go all out over poor shooting,rebounding and defending Bronx boys..

UConn -8.5 over Houston **
Huskies are better in almost every position...Coogs are hurting...

Quinnipiac -6 over Niagara ***
Purple cannot shoot or score...cannot play D and are 3-17...they do play better at home losing to Siena,Manhattan,Iona,Monmouth and Canisius by 4,4,1,16 and 13...Quinn cannot shoot either but are in the top 3 in the country in FT% and rebounding...think that is enough to cover the touchdown..Hearst has been on fire in last 9 games scoring 23,23,27,27,27 and 26...I realize no one else can shoot but Drame also is No 2 in the country in rebounding...Quinn needs to move up in the conf where Purple are fighting the foxes for the bottom..

Marist +11.5 over Canisius **
Foxes cannot score,FG% or rebound...they lost at home a few weeks ago to the Griffs by 12.. Lewis did play and score 19 but Hart and curry were still out...Foxes have won 2 in a row vs bad teams Niagara and Fairfield but they have all there starters back...despite only having a few wins they are 5-5 ats on the rd...Again Lewis is the best player on the court this afternoon..I'll lean and grab the pts...with Hart and Curry that free's up Lewis some..

Manhattan +5 over Monmouth **
Jaspers have won 6 of last 8..last week they beat Monmouth at home 71-64...both teams cannot rebound but Monmouth can play defense... Robinson is so quick he looked great friday nite..think Andujar and co. can keep this a close game...

.....Bill Polian was just put into the Hall of fame for football....I have followed that bastard for many years in his NFL life....but let me take you back to 1977-78 or 1978-79.... My team is tied for 1st place in our conference...we are playing the other team MSM...a Catholic HS team...think our records were 12-1.. I beat them already but I lost to another team...
Bill Polian is the ref...he was a new ref in the association coming from West Point..He worked at West Point and because he was an official from another state he was allowed to do varsity games...I had already heard from my fellow coaches that he was jerk and showman....I do remember him wearing a tight stripped shirt with his muscles showing...{ how they hell can i remember that and have no idea where I put my car keys yesterday} Now I have all black kids and the team we are playing are all white....The score was close throughout but he had called 4 offensive fouls on my guys in the 1st half...two were terrible calls,one was 100% right and the other 50/50..at halftime I went up to him and explained that "you were calling charges before my players even made contact....they were "flopping"{ that word wasn't used back then} faking the charge..you are anticipating the call before it happens...". I was very polite and respectful....don't remember what he said to me but just brushed me off....I do remember the next two calls he made were blocking calls so maybe I did plant a seed in his head...but I could tell he didn't like me,my team or my gym...
But what happens next is the reason I'm writing this story...

With about 10 seconds left MSM is up by 1 with the ball...under my basket...In the timeout we are in a trap full court...let the player catch it..try for a steal or deflection 1st on the inbound then foul....
The MSM player throws the ball almost at midcourt but it gets deflected...loose ball....I have no timeouts left...Louie Ueee my pt gds picks up the loose ball around midcourt and takes off to the basket...there is one defensive player in his way...Louie drives right at him,and does a windshield wipe move...fakes right,and left with his shoulders and goes right by the defender for a winning layup at the buzzer..the crowd is going crazy...Everyone thinks we won but I see Polian waving the basket off as he runs to the score table..." Ive got a carry,a palm as he was turning his hand showing it..." No basket..put 1 second back on the clock....Now there was no way Louie Ueee palmed that ball...his wrist was always down facing the basket...so we lose the game...after watching that tape later that afternoon it showed that Louie made a great play..... a few weeks later I get Polian again in another game...I tell him my kid never palmed the ball....it wasn't even close...what did you see"...and with such arrogance he says" I don't talk about past calls"....
So I sent him a copy of the VHS game to West Point...and said " since you don't want to talk about past calls why don't you watch it".... The next year he left the area....he was an asshole...all the refs didn't like him either....
And yesterday he enters the Hall of Fame....still in my book an asshole..maybe he changed....
Louie Ueee who had a lot of problems growing up in NYC became the head of security at one of the MAAC schools...still is...but

In 2010 I get a call from one of my players in NYC on that '78 team.. Louie is having a surprise 40th birthday and everyone would go crazy if I showed up...it was going to be in the Bronx...I accepted and got lots of news paper clippings and photos from that team....about a week before the party I get a call from one of my players. " Louie's party has been cancelled...his wife threw him out"....lol I wish I could make this shit up....he never had the party....:mj07:
Taking New England today...sorry for this long ass boring story..... and Bill " you can kiss my ass...even though your in the Hall....
