1-0 yeterday with a very narrow margin of victory with Washington in a first half play vs the notoriously slow starting NIU squad. I have probably seen more PAC 12 hoops this year than ever before and have come away very unimpressed with the state of play in this conference. Other than AZ there just is not much there. UCLA has some potential but the rest of the conference is garbage. I thought Cal may take a step forward but their two recent losses at home kind of took care of that. SD State is probably the only other team in Ca. that is solid. Enough of that.
Akron -12 (2)
I have backed and and lost my last two plays on the Zips which has been a highly unusual happening over the last couple of years. Akron has been one of the most reliable ATS teams around and especially at home where they have been an astonishing 26-5 ATS in their last 31 home games. This is the worst CSU team that I have seen in years bt they have manaaged to stay in most of their games until the end. They don't have much depth and their best player by far, Anton Grady, just had surgery on a torn meniscus and will be out for quite some time.
I have a gut feeling that Akron is looking to really tee off on somebody and this may be the day. The coaches in todays matchup have been going at it for 9 years and for a non conference game there is a serious rivalry here. I think that Akron gets it done jsut in time to come home and watch Denver crush my poor Brownies. Seriously though, this is the kind of situation and game today when the Browns usually really show up big and play their best football. I think that they have a hell of a shot at covering vs. a somewhat relaxed Bronc team.
What a homer, :s2:
