finally slowed down a little yesterday, but still made a profit. the crash is coming though... i feel it.
villanova (+2.5) 1 unit. my long-time readers (both of you) knew this was coming. i will continue to play against syracuse every chance i get. i'm pulling back to one unit because they've had 8 days to get onuaku and rautins healthy. devendorf and flynn are still chuckers though, and 'nova is the better team, so i'll take the points for a small play.
minnesota (-6) 3 units. tough call for me to make, but this line begs for northwestern money. the gophers are certainly not a great team, but they have been solid at home in conference play, losing only to purdue and michigan state, the two best teams in the conference. i love the improvements northwestern has made this year. but it's almost all been at home. on the conference road, they are 1-4, with an inexplicable win at michigan state. minnesota has the extra motivation of revenge for a 9-point loss 5 weeks ago, when they blew a 3-point halftime lead. i don't see the gophers getting outshot from the FT line by 16 points again.
seton hall (PK) 1 unit. the pirates had a quiet 5-game win streak snapped by uconn. they have certainly improved off of their 0-6 start in the big east. they have won their road games against inferior opponents, and i expect them to continue to do that.
duke (-6.5) 2 units. this could go down as one of the worst plays i've made. duke is obviously struggling. and wake already beat them this year. this line just seems to be begging for wake forest money. yeah, i know it's duke, and people will always bet on duke, but this still seems high to me.
