3-2 yesterday, but lost my bigger play with villanova, so a small loss on the day.
louisville (-9.5) 2 units. wow, everybody on marquette. the golden eagles are playing their first full game without their point guard. they struggled without james against uconn. i know normally teams step up that first game without a key player. and acker really is not a bad backup, especially since he doesn't have to replace much scoring. and against louisville last year, he played a total of 40 minutes (2 games) with only one turnover. pretty damn good. all that said, i still gotta go with the cardinals here. they handled marquette pretty easily twice last year, winning by 20 and 14.
nc state (-4) 3 units. the wolfpack have been solid at home lately, winning 4 of their last 5 (only loss to nc). maryland has been awful on the road, going 1-5 with the lone win a 1-point win over cellar-dwelling georgia tech.
michigan state (+1) 1 unit. almost seems too easy. michigan st isn't quite as good as they have been, but they are still tough on the conference road, going 6-1 with the loss at purdue. and i really am not sold on illinois as being a quality team. should be a defensive struggle, with the spartans coming out on top.
