Yesterday started off so well (Yankees cruise and A's win) and even ended well (hit the Jays AND the under), but in between saw a loss on the highest rated game I've had this season; the number was as LOW as 80% due to a slight reduction after the Nats took Friday's game. There is just no excuse for letting Speigner toss a 2-hiiter for 6 innings. Game was a 9-unit swing for me, just for the moneyline; had some on the runline, too. Speaking of runlines (and parlays), they're killing me this month; I should be up this month the way my totals are going?my moneylines are fine for June, too. What can I do? I guess I try to forget the loss and move on?Twins won't see my money for awhile.

Today's board has a few temptations?not many. I think I'm ready for regular schedules to resume and to heck with this Interleague stuff. A few sides and totals I'm already on. Hendrix-knows-why. I need to try and find a way to clear at least a few (3?) units on Sunday; getting back into a plus for the month is all that can save this part of the schedule for me; I am not having a good time.

Will post picks once finalized.

Numbers are through May 2007 (mlb.com down and don't feel like chasing down espn).

Astros OPS vs L .781
Chisox OPS vs L .591

That's a big reason for the call (52%) on the Astros.

Buehrle hasn't been so hot, since his no-no, and Rodriguez actually pitched a decent game on the road, for a change, his last time out (@Coors).

The current +130 gives a fair bit of value.
Should be a coin-tosser.

system picks

Orioles -159 4.77/3 (70's at 6-4 for 2007; could sure use this one)
Padres -120 4.8/4 (I think this is the best side on the board)

other picks

mets +108 2/2.16 (both clubs smokin' lefties; edge has to go to experienced Glavine)
Nyy -1.5 +100 1.3/1.3 (Got it cheap, when it opened)
Nyy -1.5 -110 1.65/1.5 (Got some more 'cuz it seems too good to be true)
indians -148 2.96/2 (62's at 2-0 for June)
astros +130 0.76/1 (52's at 34-28 in 2007; 54.8% winners)
phillies -129 1.29/1 (which De La Rosa shows up?...hoping it's the evil one)
Giants -129 2.58/2 (I think that Cain might keep the A's quiet, here)
blue jays -103 2.06/2 (Halladay either great or dogshit; I'll take my chances)

totals

oak@Sf un8 -109 2.18/2

I would like a nice Sunday so I can take it easy on Monday; only 5 games scheduled tomorrow, too, so I suppose I'm getting my licks in now. Here's hoping I don't get them chopped.

Catch you later.
