Philly (-160) 5 Units.. Heres why!
1] Who on the Leafs is going to score??? Joe Newendiuk (sp) is now out for Game 2. Which leaves the best line being Ron Francis, Mogilney, and Roberts. Honestly, I like Francis, he was good in his time, but he can't compete again Phillys top line. Mogilny will wake up this series as he gets to use his speed and open ice on the week Philly defense but still.... The Leafs best line without Joe in is probably the Domi, Fitz, Kilger Line which is scary. If Philly takes out the Leafs 1st line, its going to be lights out unless we get an ugly goal..
2] Philly can score! Philly coach Hitchcock knows he to play basic hockey. They handed NJ easy and will do the same to the Leafs if they dont get Joe & Sundin back at least and start scoring some goals. Philly puts the man in front of the net constantly! Even with even strength. Eddy is great but if Kaberle is playing and even if hes not, Philly will score goals! Game 1 Philly played like they were in practice till the 3rd period. Philly will play much better tonight. I give them 2 goals AT LEAST!
GL which ever way you go. I want the Leafs to win but its going to be tough without the missing Leaf players. IF the Leafs had Joe, Sundin, and Nolan in the lineup, they would win this series! Without them, its very hard.. Esche basically has to lay an egg for them to win.
