thanks to a missed layup at the buzzer, i hit my bigger play yesterday with uconn, so another small profit. and if nova missed just a few free throws, who knows? maybe pitt would have won that game, too. they really didn't deserve to win, the way they played though.

michigan state/louisville under (139) 2 units. interesting matchup. i know this sounds obvious, but louisville struggles against teams that actually play defense. they tend to take too many bad shots anyways, but they will struggle against a good defense. and if they're not hitting shots, they can't put on the press. on the other side of the ball, it seems like this michigan state team wants to run a little more than spartan teams in the past. if they do that today, they are in trouble. i have to believe izzo will stress the need to make this a halfcourt game; it's their only chance. louisville is so much more talented than michigan state. gun to my head, i'd have to take the cardinals, but i think the under is by far the better play.

north carolina (-7) 1 unit. north carolina has a few big guys who can bang with griffin (i can't wait to watch him go at it hansbrough) and i still simply don't believe oklahoma's shooters can consistently beat you. i think they'll get into a shooting contest with carolina, and that's a game they're not going to win. my biggest concern is lawson... can he do it again with only one day of rest for his foot? oh, and another factor... hansbrough has become the master of the flop. will he be able to draw a couple fouls on griffin? it's hard to say how often those two will really be matched up.
