roller coaster ride in the nfl for me this year. started 1-10, came back and got into the black, and the last few weeks have been shitty. unfortunately, vince young looked like vince young again on friday night.
time to focus on just a couple plays today....
green bay (-14) 2 units. i've said it for a few weeks now... the spread has not factored into a single seattle game all year. so unless you think seattle can win this game straight up (hey, anything is possible in the nfl these days), you may as well lay the 14. and if you like seattle, play 'em on the money line.
pittsburgh (-3) 2 units. ok, this one's not about the steelers. this is about joe flacco. essentially, in close games, he's awful. baltimore is 2-4 in games decided by less than 7 points (1-3 in games decided by 3 or less, with the only win over the dennis dixon-led steelers). here is baltimore's road record this year...
W at san diego (week 2, way before SD started playing well)
L at new england
L at minnesota
L at cincinnati
W at cleveland
L at green bay
and back to flacco... here are his home numbers vs his road numbers...
home 68.4%, 8 yds/att, 12 TD, 4 INT, sacked 13 times
road 58.4%, 6.6 yds/att, 7 TD, 7 INT, sacked 15 times (in 2 fewer games)
as bad as the steelers' secondary has been, they may not need to be good to win this game.
