I have about one two-unit a week, but starting the season with one!

both these pitchers usually start very strong and go deep. Vlades is best in April, as a matter of fact, and TX is starting him partly because of this reason.

Lackey tries to get it up strong against the famous team from his homestate, near where he grew up (near by TX standards anyway) .

TX had the worst batting average vs Angels of all teams in mlb last season. And the bullpens are rested, to say the least.

as Geno said, Lackey is no Colon. But last season Lackey did almost always bounce back well and win and go under (if facing decent pitcher) after a bad start.


sure is different to have some confidence in Rangers closers, for this night anyway.
