keeping it pretty simple today, since there's one game i absolutely love and i'm gonna put way too many of my eggs in that basket.
dallas (-9.5) 1 unit. wasn't gonna play this one. then i saw vince young is starting for tennessee. so i figure dallas only needs to score 10 points to get the cover here. side note... hearing that terrell owens was upgraded from 'suicidal' to 'probable' is one of the funniest things i've heard in a while.
carolina (-7) 4 units. first 4-unit play of the year. i was pretty much going to play against the saints no matter who they were playing this week. when i saw this line, i started salivating. i may have even gotten fully erect. :scared ok, maybe 3/4 erect. the emotional letdown is the obvious factor here. but the line opened at 7 1/2 which tells me they were BEGGING for new orleans money. and it looks like they got it. i can't offer much in the way of logical explanations here. maybe deangelo williams will show reggie bush who's gonna be the better nfl player.
