dallas (-3) 2 units. other than last year, dallas has OWNED the 'skins, covering 13 out of 14. 7 weeks ago, they re-established their dominance in this series. their offense has new life with romo and their defense fed off that after the first quarter last week. i look for a good solid all-around performance. dallas 23-10 (one of these days, i WILL hit a final score.
buffalo (-3) 1 unit. i'm not terribly impressed by wins over the fins and cards. buffalo is not good, but they are still playing hard. they beat minny at home a few weeks ago, and minny is a lot better than this pack team. if i'm not mistaken, takeo spikes is back, and that is a big boost for the bills d. if losman can manage to throw fewer picks than favre, the bills should win this game. i wonder what the over/under for INTs is in this game. 7? today is the beginning of the stretch that finally convinced favre to retire. they have minny, NE, and seattle on deck.
tampa (pk) 2 units. tampa failed to cover for the first time in the bruce gradkowski era (i like the sound of that). they were fighting an uphill battle with terrible field position all game against the g-men. things will be different today as gradkowski gets his first revenge win.
pitt (-3) 1 unit. just don't know how big an effort denver can come up with after that indy game. i cannot believe all the flak ben roethlisberger is taking this year. he was nothing short of incredible his first 2 years in the league. now he is battling almost every conceivable injury, and he's been inconsistent. imagine that. he's human. let's not forget, he was awesome just a few weeks ago, in back-to-back games against kc and atlanta. i mean, a combined 32 of 41 for 476 yards, 5 TDs and no INTs???? one terrible game against the raiders, and he sucks? really people? if pitt has any pride left, they shut down denver's run, force some mistakes from jake the snake, and get a win here.
new england (-3) 1 unit. this is not the same new england team that won 3 out of 4 super bowls, but this is also not the same indy team that steamrolled most of the league last year. brady is getting more comfortable with his new receiving corp, and they will be able to run against this terrible run defense.
