bad spot for weaver today off 124,125 and 114 pitches on 4 days rest...very good start last time out with the loss off a grade A previous start leads to struggles more times than not...

Person to return. Robert Person, on the disabled list with tendinitis in his right elbow, will be activated today and will make his first start since April 29. Reliever Carlos Silva was placed on the disabled list last night with a sprained right knee to make room for Person.

Person, 0-3 with a 5.45 ERA, was the opening day starter, but struggled through four of his five starts. He will be opposed today by Brit Reames of Montreal.

"I'm ready to go. I'll go as long as it takes, whether it's 70-plus pitches, 80, 90, whatever," Person said.

With Person back, it is expected that Dave Coggin will leave the rotation and return to the bullpen.

Based on how Person has pitched for Philly this year, the best news Philly bettors could get is that he will be on a limited pitch count. Both bullpens should get plenty of work in that game.
