K.C is no match for the big green, scoring machine. Oakland's on a roll for the wild card, and it's these games that they have to win to stay in the hunt. K.C is 6-23 vs lefties. -180 is too much for me to lay,especially when there's a possibility of a sweep, so i think Oakland's firepower will over match K.C's. Suppan's got a home ERA of around 5.00.

NEW EXPERIMENT:
"DOG DAYS OF SUMMER" :
during the week, I will take some heavy dogs that I think are "live" and will keep track of them. These are NOT included in my regular records. This is for experiment purposes ONLY.

DAY 1:
1) taking Detroit +175, can't back an Indians team that is on the ropes lately and that are not playing well at home.
LOST -100

2) TORONTO +200, they seem to play well against the YANKS but nt against anyone else...Mussina/Sharpentier is a solid pitcher's duel, but the Jayz have the better offense with the new kids on the roster.

3) MONTREAL +210, yes, Maddux is good, but Montreal is tearing the cover off the ball, hope to see a close game here...
lost -100 (anyone seeing a trend..??hahahha)

4) L.A +116, yes i know, the number's not high, but they are STILL a live dog in my books. Astacio's been hammered lately, and L.A needs these games to stay in the hunt for 1st place.

5)MILWAUKEE +136 , hell, they have to break their losing streak sometime???

by the way, as leans and predictions go, i had a shitty nite going 3 for 10 on "predicting" sides. I'm glad I didn't lay any green on those predictions...didn't have a good feeling about 'em...

guess we get lucky sometimes.
