Xavier +5 1/2 (these teams played earlier in the year at State and Xmen lost by 12.....they aren't the same team...they were 4-3 on the year when they played that game.....they have matured and have been really good basketball since the conference tourney started....they are familiar with State....shouldn't be intimidated having played in conference with Cincy, Louisville, and UAB.....lines moving up with the bulldogs catching a lot of backers...I'll take the points.)

Cincy -P (Cincy played in a much stronger conference this year....they are a physical team playing in their home state of Ohio.....never been a huggins fan but gotta take 'em here.)


Vandy +4 1/2 (Was impressed by Vandy's inside strength against Western on Friday.....they will obviously have a tougher time against a much more athletic and taller NC State team but feel they still match-up real well.....I'll take the points with a team that should be very confident today.)

Vandy over 135 (looking for a more up and down game out of NC State who was kind of held in the half court by Lafayette Friday....Vandy shoots the ball well...if they're on today, this goes over.)


BC +6 (BC plays a lot like N. Iowa who gave Tech problems friday....BC a tough defensive team who is capable I believe of keeping Tech in the half-court game where they are a lot less effective than when in the open court....if BC controls the pace, they can hang here.)

BC over 135 1/2 (Tech likes to play in the 80's.....BC in the low 60's....meet me in the middle for a game in the high 60's which should be enough to push this over.)


Memphis +7 1/2 (athletes galore....someone needs to challenge Okie St., think Memphis can do it.)

Memphis over 137 (hoping for a lot of running up and down from these two today.)

I won't try to write-up these games anymore.....I knew long ago that you cannot handicap this chit......if you really think you can you're fooling yourself. These games all come down to whether or not you guessed right or guessed wrong......key word guessed. If you're on the dog, the favorite will kick their a$$....if you're on the favorite, the dog will bite.....if you're on the over, they will walk the ball up the court and set up and run their offense for 30 seconds at a time....if you're on the under, they will run like someone is chasing them. Good luck on guessing the rest of the tourney...hoping I can start to guess a few more winners here soon.

I know I can't handicap this stuff, that's for sure.

I might have an opinion or two, but as far as handicapping trends or previous performances, I can forget about it.

March Madness is not a good time to wager for ole' buddy boy.

I don't handicap the NHL, NBA or MLB and I only visit the golf forum occasionally.

I think it's time to review the 2003 football season and try to figure out why I picked sooooo many losers.
