2004: 69-46-2

Memphis -3

League: 9-1 (Av. win 9.3) away 4- fav, any rest off any ats win as away 10+ dog. [Mem]

League: 7-16-1 (Av. loss 4.9) home 4- dog, 1 day off any ats win as home 5+ dog. [Pho]
4-10 (Av. loss 5.6) if opp was last away.
4-8 (Av. loss 7.5) if opp off ats win.
3-7 (Av. loss 8.5) if 10- ats win.
1-7 (Av. loss 10.5) if opp was last 5+ dog!

I realise the Grizz don't really have a whole lot to play for, but they still should be far too good for Phoenix.

Also hard to ignore the under in Sac.

Sac: 3-14 under off upset loss.
5-18 off any loss.
0-5 as fav of 2' or less.

LAL: 2-10 under as a dog.
3-7 after 3 straight at home.
2-8 in the day.
12-28 off an ats loss.

With plenty to play for it should be a tight, play-off type game...total does seem very high.

Not only don't the Grizz have anything to play for, but they're losing bodies. In addition to Gasol and Wells, it sounds like Posey will be out as well:

04/11/04 G Bonzi Wells Back missed last 3 games, downgraded to doubtful Sunday vs Suns.
04/11/04 F Pau Gasol Foot missed last 3 games, downgraded to doubtful Sunday vs Suns.
04/11/04 F James Posey Hip injured in Friday's game, doubtful Sunday vs Suns.

Posey has been their best player lately. The Grizz are a deep team, but they may be minus some key players here. They already have their 50 wins and are locked into either the 5 or 6 seed. The Suns don't play d, but they seem to still be playing hard, beating the Kings last time out.

Would be nice to get some Memphis local input here regarding injuries and motivation.

Preview: Grizzlies vs. Suns
April 11, 2004

TV, radio: Fox Sports Net, 8 p.m.; WHBQ-AM (560), pregame, 7 p.m.

Records: Grizzlies, 50-29; Suns, 27-52. Suns (27-52). Suns lead all-time series, 27-7.

Injury report: Grizzlies - James Posey (sore hip) is doubtful. Pau Gasol (sore right foot) and Bonzi Wells (sore back) are day-to-day. Ryan Humphrey (sore right knee), Troy Bell (sore knee), and Dahntay Jones (sprai
ed left tricep) are on the injured list. Suns - Shawn Marion (viral bronchitis) is questionable. Howard Eisley (hernia surgery) is out. Jahidi White (bone bruise, right knee) and Jake Voskuhl (sore left foot) are doubtful. Keon Clark (bone spurs, right ankle) is on the injured list.
KEY MATCHUP:

Shane Battier vs. Joe Johnson

Presuming Posey is unable to play, Battier will have the unenviable task of chasing the spry Johnson. Johnson had 24 points in 45 minutes in a win last Friday against Sacramento. He has played at least 40 minutes in 32 consecutive contests, the longest streak since Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain did so in 34 straight games from March 22-Dec. 22, 1970.
INSIDE THE SUNS:

Phoenix is among the worst two teams in the Western Conference. But the Suns aren't acting like it. They are coming off a home victory over the Sacramento Kings Friday, and have won three of the past four at home. Only the L.A. Clippers stand in the way of the Suns finishing last in the conference. Said Suns coach Mike D'Antoni: "We don't want to be the worst."
INSIDE THE GRIZZLIES:

Gasol and Wells participated in a light, non-contact workout that lasted 45 minutes Saturday afternoon. But don't hold out much hope that the pair will play. They moved gingerly, and likely won't see action until Tuesday's game at Dallas. Posey sat out of practice and could barely walk - the aftermath of a nasty fall during the Grizzlies' 103-95 loss Friday night against the L.A. Lakers.

Thanks guys. :toast:

I didn't realise Posey was in doubt....Definately looks like he won't go.

Will leave the play for now....Might see what the line does b/w now and game time.

Golden State +3.5 (Early line for me....I guess the 'official' line will be something similar.

League: 17-9 (Av. loss 1.6) home dog, 1 day off 10+ ats loss as home 5+ dog. [GS]
8-3 SU! (Av. WIN 5.6) if 4- dog, 1 day off 10+ ats loss as any home dog.

League: 5-13 (Av. LOSS 0.1) any away fav, no rest off 20+ ats loss as any fav. [Dal]
1-7 (Av. LOSS 2.6) if opp last at home. (0-7 since 2000!!)
2-9 (Av. LOSS 3.4) if opp off any ats loss.
0-5 (Av. LOSS 1.6) if opp off 10+ ats loss.

GS: 14-6 after any 10+ SU loss this season.
29-14 revenging a loss.

Definately like this game. Dallas obviously still have major issues on the road. GS still playing with some pride.
Like the Warriors SU here. (Seeing 2.50 (+150) early..like it!)

Good Luck everyone
