Best of luck Raymond on the bet.

The Giants are currently a team on my list of "Do not bet for or against".

I cannot handicap them. I liked them against Jacksonville (bet them) and I liked them against Tennessee (didn't bet them) - thus i will not be taking any action on this game.

I like the Ravens this week straight up against the Bengals - any thoughts?

I remember back in the Parcells days with the NYG, his team gets stronger and rolls the opposition toward the latter part of the season. I believe he thinks this team will go far. Watch them!:SIB

Rookie QB 1st REAL game :scared

Good thing or bad thing ?

My 2cents
It can't be good.

Cutler was a big fat loser @ Vandy.
The trend will continue. Seattle will pressure him all night. He'll throw for at least 1-2 ints.
The right thing to do is let Plummer finish the season. They are 7-4... very much alive for Playoffs.

IMO it's a bonehead move to bring in the kid at this point.

Did you watch that game thursday? To me, it was obvious that Jake needs to be pulled, and never given the opportunity to take another snap. It was hard to watch. Made me wonder what the hell I was doing taking the broncos, even though they were favored. Cutler is the way to go. Even if he doesn't do that well, they can still win 10 games. SD, Cin, and even SF don't look good. Nevermind Seattle and their newly found running game. Roll the dice and start the kid, they'll be better off.

didnt Cutler lead them close to or even got a win in Tennessee?? Vandy is no football factory so he must have some talent to get any wins out of that program...

I have seen him play .. he has a cannon...

I GUESS WE WILL SEE IF HE IS A WINNER

John Elway comes to mind here

I like Denver here
BUT I also like the Giants...

Tulah,

To say Cutler is a "big fat loser" is moronic. He made Vandy a solid team and if not for a shatty D, they would have won 7 games last season. Had a chance to beat FLA in OT in Gainesville which is a pretty tought place to play.

I don't know if he will perform well against the Hags and really don't care, but that statement is rediculous. USC is not the only place that can produce good QBs:142smilie

Sorry Ray to :mj22: GL with your plays

The guy had 1 O.K season.
What about the other 3 yrs he played for Vandy?
He never had a winning season...:nono:

Not sure if he started all the games from 02-05.
Vanderbilts record from that span is W-11 L-35.
I call a spade a spade. Jay Cutler NEVER had a winning season in NCAA....To me Cutler is a loser

Here is his college stats

Year CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA TD INT SACK RAT ATT YDS AVG TD
2002 (2-10)
103 212 1433 48.6 6.8 10 9 17 112.4 123 393 3.2 9
2003 (2-10)
187 327 2347 57.2 7.2 18 13 16 127.7 115 299 2.6 1
2004 (2-9)
147 241 1844 61.0 7.7 10 5 24 134.8 109 349 3.2 6
2005 (5-6
273 462 3073 59.1 6.7 21 9 23 126.1 106 215 2.0 1

BTW I know USC isn't the only school producing
NFL QB's

I totally agree (its ridiculous, but why is that such a hard word to spell in the blog world?)

Cutler proved himself in college...will it translate into the bigs? We will see. But to say he has always been a loser is ridiculous.

Shanihan is no idiot...... he would'nt make a move like this unless he was sure it will improve the team. Not to be disrespectful,he gave the veteran Plummer all the oppurtunity in the world, but just like Romo in Dallas there comes a time when the team requires a change. Imo Cutler will be fine. The gameplan will be devised around his strenghs, and they won't put the game on his shoulders.

I think he is about the only player ever to get close to having a winning season at Vandy:mj07:

I think the consensus speaks for itself on this issue. Perhaps Scott would agree with you:142smilie

I dont think vanderbilts record has anything to do with what cutler may be able to accomplish under Shanahan. He is a smart coach whom wants to win now and Plummer has hit a wall. He never was a great QB to begin with but his mistakes are killing the Broncos. Shannahan will spoonfeed the youngster and not put the game on his shoulders. Denver is a hard place to play and Seatle may be due for a letdown. Anything is better than watching Plummer piss your season away. He is awful.
