This is something I am test-trying, using 2-3-3yo&up Maidens with good connections &/or good recent efforts. So far, it's showing small profit. FYI. All thoroughbreds have a Jan. 1st Birthday so younger horses get 5 a pound weight break to the older heavier horses and usually still can not compete. After June though, it equals out and the older horses more often than not, remain Maidens.
