probably meaningless stat of the week... teams that played on thursday the previous week are 2-7-1 ATS the last 5 weeks. at least i hope it's meaningless, since i'll be on jacksonville today and maybe tennessee.
and a question for the panel... is ANYBODY on atlanta today?
minnesota (ML) 2 units to win 2.2. i get really nervous when i see everybody on one team. if i was a little more disciplined, i'd stay off minnesota. but atlanta has lost 6 straight ATS and 4 out of 5 SU. i'm counting on minnesota to bounce back after the loss to green bay. a loss which looks even worse after the pack lost at home to the bears. but right now, atlanta is finding ways to lose. so they may be the 'right' play and still manage to get beat.
st. louis (ML) 1 unit to win 3.8. yeah, this one's a little crazy. but would it really be shocking if this rams defense kept them in the game against a team that's lost 2 straight games after starting 8-0? statistically, they are very similar to houston's defense. cincy may be looking ahead to divisional matchups the next 2 weeks.
jacksonville (-5) 2 units. this is really not a good play. even when the jags win, they don't win by much. last week's 6-point win over tennessee was their largest margin of victory, and they still had a chance to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory at the end of that game. but sd looks like they've given up on the season and they have games against denver and kc the next 2 weeks. not sure how fired up they'll be for a trip to jacksonville.
pittsburgh (ML) 3 units to win 4.5. this is mostly a gut play. when i first saw the line at 4.5, i felt like they were asking for seattle money. and the line has dropped to a fg. now they're begging for seattle money. the seahawks are 2-3 ATS at home this year, with 2 SU losses. they only games they covered were against chicago and san fran. i feel big ben and the steelers can come in here and steal a win.

ne/den under (43) 2 units. while i hate to see a qb making his 2nd start going up against a belichick defense, i like denver's d to give them a chance to win.
