I'm a little puzzle by this line and have NO CLUE why its so low but I will bite and bite BIG...The Temple Owls return 4 starters from the team that ended 16-14 a year ago but were under a lot of scrutinity due to Chaney's goon manouvers....Well, IMO this is Chaney's most talented team in a long while. G's Mardy Collins 17.5 ppg 5.9 rpg and Maar Tyndale 12.5 ppg 5.5 rpg, a season ago provide Chaney with the most talented backcourt in a long while. This duo will also be helped by junior G Dustin Salisbery 10.4 ppg 4.1 rpg a season ago. The 3 headed moster rotation features guards that are HUGE in size 6'6, 6'5, 6'5 respectively and they will create match up problems for almost every team they face this year. That was the case in the 3 nice victories again Alabama, Miami FL, and Pennsylvania. The Owls will missed F Antywayne Robinson to injury the 1st half of the season, but F Wayne Marshall has done a very effective job contributing in the frontcourt and giving Chaney another inside scoring option. But the key here will be the Owls defense which has been OUTSTANDING so far this season limiting the opposition to 52.1 ppg, 38.2 % from the field and most importantly 28.8% from 3pt land. The huge guards have done an outstanding job so far and I expect them to continue to play with a lot of confidence after a very nice win vs Alabama. Also this game will conclude the home-away series between these 2 teams in which Auburn pulled out the win a year ago 80-78 and with the revenge factor in play here I will make the Owls a Big play here........
The auburn tigers are in for a LONG, LONG season. Even though they are 4-2 so far this season the record might be a bit misleading. Looking at the 4 wins they have all being at home and they are vs McNeese State, Gardner Webb, Lipscomb and SE La so they really have beaten NOBODY. If that does not tell the whole story their 2 losses both on the road have been to Pittsburgh by 27pts and Colorado State by 10pts. The tigers are very young and returning just 1 starter from a season ago. They lack MAJOR size as of all retuning players only 1 is above 6'6 so they will have a major disadvantage vs a BIG and experience Temple squad. Leading returning scorer 6'3 G Frank Tolbert 6.9 ppg 3.0 rpg a season ago will be ask to carry the load but playing against a trio of great defenders all above 6'5 he will have a hard time putting up points in this game. IMO this game its just a mismatch and as long as temple does not have a letdown game after the big win vs Alabama they should control this one from the tipoff, scoring at will and controling the board all day long............How sweet is revenge.......

This is more of a play against the wolfpack that is on Miami. The Hurricanes return 4 starters from a 16-13 team a season ago. The backcourt trio of Robert Hite, Guillermo Diaz and Anthony harris was the ACC most productive and that is hard to imagine as they were better than the likes of Dukes, Wake, and even North carolina. This trio is so talented that BIG expectations are awaiting in Miami this season. These 3 guards accounted for over 65% of the offense a year ago and we can only expect that with another season together they will just keep on getting better. Also the great play of G Dennis Clemente a great phenom from the prep ranks of Florida has given the Canes major depth in the backcourt. The frontcourt of Anthony king, Gary hamilton and jimmy Graham have given the canes big bodies who can do all the dirty work with the best in the conference.....Although the Hurricanes have not played well on the road 0-2 this season i do expect a strong effort in a national TV game and should keep this one within the number vs IMO an overrated opponent.......
The wolfpack enter this season for the 1st time in 4 years without superstar julius Hodge. Hodge has been the face of this university for 4 years and was able to help turn this program around in his 4 year tenure getting the pack to 4 straight NCAA tourney appearances and a very nice sweet 16 a season ago....well life goes on and the W-Pack returns 4 starters from that 21-14 team of a year ago. The only problem is none of those 4 starters avg DD in scoring a season ago. NCSU has been a one man show the last 4 seasons and IMO it will take some time for this team to get used to life without Hodge. The talent is there, the experience is there as well but the pressure of performing on the clutch maybe this teams downfall this season. G's Engin Atsur, Tony Bethel, and Cameron Bennerman will provide the pack with plenty of scoring options and leadership. F Ilian Evtimov is VERY good and should provide balance with the help of Gavin Grant and Andrew Brackman.....The pack bench is deep and full of all-american candidates at the high scholl level. So as we can see this team will be very good for years to come. IMO the only problem will be finding a go to guy in clutch situations that will provide scoring when needed. F Brandon Costner a very nice new comer is nursing an injury so he will be limited for this game and his presence will be missed as he can score inside and out....looking at the pack 7-1 record this season I also noted the bunch of nobody they have beaten.....NC Ashville, Appalachian state, VMI, Delaware, Stetson, The Citadel.......well that is my main reason to back this play today as IMO the spread is this big due to Miami's struggles on the road and NCSU overall record....Finally last years meeting between these 2 teams was a 67-66 victory for the canes and that was with NCSU having JULIUS HODGE and now I'm getting 12pts.........too much value and got to take it........
