Nuggets (+8) over San Antonio
Denver is 32-8 since Karl took over on Jan. 27. The fast pace tempo is what the nuggets will look to start. The spurs will have to use Duncan, but Denver will have to run him and make him tired. SA is a very solid ball club but with Karl at head the nuggets have been a force and they should keep it within 8. This team has the size and athletic ability to do damage. Plus they believe Karl and it is very important to go into the playoff playing solid ball and that is what Denver is do right now.
Washington (+4) over Chicago
some adjustments will have to be made due to the absence of leading scorer Eddy Curry and forward Luol Deng. Without Curry in the middle, Arenas, Hughes and Jamison should have more room to create their shots. The Wizards nearly had three players average 20 points a game, with Jamison (19.6) falling just short of joining Arenas (25.5) and Larry Hughes (22.1). The wizards will have to play some defense to keep the bulls down.
Miami (-8) over New Jersey
Size has and will be a problem for NJ to contend against. Even if shaq cannot give 100% they have Zo, and Haslem. Cater has been playing very well of late but Jones has what it takes to out a little pressure on him. Jefferson is coming off an injury will help but will not be as big a factor as the Nets need. Still the size of Miami and the play of Wade should be enough to shutdown Kidd and the nets.
