in an absolute tailspin right now. feel free to fade away...
chicago (-1) 1 unit. wow, denver wins 2 games, and suddenly they go from 'they're TERRIBLE' to 'they can win in chicago'. such short term memories, people. don't get me wrong. grossman is awful. and cutler is going to be decent (10 years from now, when cutler is still starting in the nfl and vince young is out of the league, most of the comments from last week's tennessee/denver game will be absolutely laughable), but this is the same denver team that got blown out at detroit a few weeks ago.
tennessee (-1.5) 1 unit. yes, i'm taking the aforementioned vince young on the road this week. mostly because his receivers will be so wide open that even when he throws way behind them, there will be nobody there to intercept his wayward passes. i'm actually hoping the titans run the ball 80 times today. only 3 teams give up more than cincy's 4.5 yards per carry.
houston (+3.5) 1 unit. i simply refuse to drink the cleveland brown koolaid. after a brutal stretch, houston has won 2 straight. and cleveland is coming off this 3-game stretch... OT win over seattle, 3-point loss to pitt, and a ridiculous OT win over baltimore. big letdown today.
not sure i can go against new england right now, but... um... is losing mcnabb really a bad thing? the last time feeley took over for an injured mcnabb, the eagles went 6-1 and made the playoffs. he (just like jeff garcia) runs this offense better than mcnabb. i just don't know if that will make a difference this game. but if mcnabb was playing, i would have taken new england. now... well, i expect a much better effort from the eagles. this just may be the wrong game to put money on them. oh, and does anybody think that if the eagles were playing the 49ers this week, that mcnabb would be playing?
