Well, I was 1/2 point away from a perfect 3-0 here as PHIL. didnt cover. This was the second time this year that they cost me big by 1 pt. or less..........Had them straight for a good amount both times and had them on parlays that went down with only them, too.
Record here is OK at 18-12, but why do I feel like I am struggling to make a buck or to even get a head's up or handle on what's happening? Really confusing.
Interesting thread on Sunday dogs elsewhere in the forum.............stats have dogs coming in at a hefty rate this season on Sunday day games..........guess that explains some of it. Parity...........& the houses LOVE it

THIS WEEK:
N E -3 1/2 @ Chicago. Hoping the Pats don't have a letdown after last week's impressive drubbing of the Bills. This is the same point they started their incredible run last year. The incentive is there for them, now, with the Dolphins reeling. The error-prone Bearsies have lost 6 in a row & don't play worth chit in their borrowed home away from home. In addition, They miss NT Ted Washington, a big run stuffer. ........I wish the hook wasn't there, but will go at -3.5 anyway.

ST. LOUIS -5 1/2 vs. SD. This is a continuation of my gut plays on St Louis, winners of their last 3. They are trying to be the first team to make the playoffs after an 0-5 start. I am guessing they get to 5-5 or 6-6 soon. Faulk has almost 600 yds. in his last 3 games and the Rams are 19-0 when he gains 100 or more. Bulger has covered for Warner quite nicely, lately, with over 62% passing. One has to wonder about SD and if their 6-0 start was a fluke after humiliating blowout last week by the Jets. This si also Brees' first start in a dome.

SF/ K .CITY O 50.......Could be a sparring contest with points scored back & forth like a boxing match. Or, hopefully, like in an an NBA matchup.KC doesn't have a defense and is well on their way to setting an all time NFL record for points given up.

HONORABLE MENTION:
PHIL -9........giving them a chance to get me again against the sluggish Colts
BALT -5.......back to reality for Cinn.

G L & Hope You Hit One (or 2or 3 or 4) ! THE HITMAN
