Back later with a couple plays.

Leaning towards Reds and Waratahs. Any thoughts from some of the Aussies around here?

Originally liked Waikato against QLD, but am starting to think it is a game to stay out of.

The Waratahs line looks a little too big and would be willing to take the plus. The Sharks backs look solid enough and if the forwards can match up at the set pieces, the NSW backs want have as much room to work with - hard to see the Sharks winning, but I think they will compete for most of the game.

2pts Sharks +19.5

Wellington were a disorganised rabble last week and with Holwell out they should be one again. The Bulls strength is obviously in the forwards and with reports that Collins is playing with an injury they should dominate here. I had the Bulls about a 4 point fav and will be taking them at the $1.90

2pts Bulls @ $1.90

Y.T.D. 0-3

I'm new to the super 12. Any tips as far as things to watch for league wide? I know home teams tend to be pretty dominant. When looking at the Sharks tonight it appears that they travelled pretty well last year (compared to the current line). In 2003 Losing by 9 at Queensland, 9 at Auckland, 5 at Christchurch, Winning by 6 vs the Chiefs, winning by 6 again vs the Cats, losing by 22 at the Stormers.

2002: winning by 13 at the Bulls, LOSING BY 34 AT NSW , losing by 23 @ The Hurricanes, losing by 30 @ Canberra, losing by 40 @ The Highlanders.

So we have a team that appeared to be much tougher on the road last season. Seems like a lot of points for a team that played the Crusaders and Blues tough last year. After watching the Cats get manhandled lastnight i'm a bit wary of backing a South African team on the road.
