Super Bowl Line Opinion

OK, so I was at the book for the NFC and AFC Championship games. Both Steelers and Packers are the favorite by 3.5 and 4 respectively. I look over at the Early Super Bowl line before kickoff of either game. AFC -1. Both teams win and I'm expecting the line to be Steelers -1, pickem at worst. Low and behold Green Bay -2.5. Weird to me. The only difference is Pouncey getting hurt. Big loss but worth 3.5 points? I think not. To me they were looking for Steelers money. Not too sure but line looked strange after seeing AFC -1 before the games.

Nice analysis. My only thought process is people thinking that GB just played a tougher schedule maybe? 3 games, all on the road. And Pitt plays Baltimore, tough game, but then handled the NYJs for the most part....

Do you see it as pure steam?

I don't know. Maybe I'm way off.

To be honest I think they saw the holes in the Pitt pass defense in the 2nd half of the game and think that GB will exploit them. So they adjusted the line accordingly. Just moved to 3 here at the Coast casinos and think most will follow suit by tomorrow.

My only thing is that I feel that Chi stayed in the game with haggard QB play. Pitt can be that aggressive on defense. We'll see tomorrow for sure!
