for a game that traditionally can be very tough to handicap, i feel this is the best value for a super bowl wager that i can remember.
I'll be putting meager amounts on various bets/props - 10 bucks on tails, etc. i'll also be managing $$ from the various 'buddies" who always call me on this day to put their one bet in for the year. i can usually work that into my favor.
but my largest wager will be...
SAINTS/COLTS UNDER 28.5 1H (-115) 5*
if both teams can manage to score td's on their first possessions, this play may be in trouble. more than one defensive pick/to and this play may be in trouble. those are my only concerns.
but with two good defenses getting an extra weeks rest and preparation, the nerves, emotions and speed of the game, that only comes in a superbowl. and with an over inflated vegas total of 57 (as the masses love to play the over), we get a first half total of 4TD's and a hook! i can get to 17-10, 14-14, 20-7 - 4 or 5 scores combined and i still win. i like my chances.
