1 Star 4-5
New England -2.5 (-125) over Atlanta (5 Units)
Pretty simply for me, the Patriots are 15-3 ATS this season, with line makers handing out gifts weekly and I think you see that again here when the game is over.
Many of the key Patriots have been here before and none of the key Falcons players have ever played a super bowl. A ton of attention goes to the Falcons offense, as it should, but their defense is where I think they have huge problems in this game. If Green Bay was remotely healthy, that is a different game against the Atlanta defense. I don't believe the Atlanta defense can pressure without blitzing Brady as the Pats offensive line among the best. The problem with blitzing Brady is he is the best in the NFL against the blitz. While Atlanta has more overall talent on offense, the Patriots have weapons all over the field. Watch for the running backs to have a field day against the Falcons defense both in running the ball and short passes out of the backfield. The Patriots offense is a total crap shoot in terms of game planing for them, because they can play ball control or speed up and go no huddle.
Count on the hoodie devising a plan to limit Julio Jones as he has done countless times in the past to the best players, including Antonio Brown in the last game. The Patriots certainly win not stop the Falcons offense, but will force a few field goals. Alex Mack's injury is sure to factor into this game to some degree, more likely when the Falcons want to run the ball.
K-Gun offense, Greatest Show on turf....Bill has dealt with elite offenses. Patriots are the more balanced team in all 3 phases of the game and will win this game by a touchdown, don't let the SOS argument fool you, the Pats are the better team.
Patriots 27-20
Back later with some prop plays.
