I have been forecasting the NFL playoffs very well. I have watched every game the past three weeks. I will certainly look into this match-up more in the next two weeks. However, as much time as I've spent capping the games the last month, I feel as if I've already capped the Super Bowl. I love the Panthers and everything about the way they play. That being said, they have little chance of beating NE. The Panthers have beaten three good football teams in a row, two of them on the road. NE is different though, here is why. NE is possibly the most well-coached team I've ever seen. They do not beat themselves, they have many veterans, and their receivers do not drop passes. Their QB simply does not make mistakes. NE has no weakness on defense. They are playing incredibly well. I don't care if they were home during the playoffs. They have won 14 in a row. They are determined to win this game. If Antowain Smith holds onto the ball, they will beat Carolina convincingly. It has been a great season for the Panthers, but I don't think they can play with the Pats. I don't think anyone could right now. Delhomme will be asked to do too much, and he will struggle because of it. John Fox is obviously a great coach, but give NE two weeks to prepare for anybody and they're in for it.

NE - 6 1/2

NE -240

Not sure on the size of my play, but it will be larger than normal.

Under looks ok for a regular season game, but a little low for a Super Bowl. Not touching it, though.

Two week layoff favors Carolina. They can rest up and hang loose, while the Pats will feel the pressure of being expected to win. Panthers have the right attitude and confidence to win it all minus the pressure of being favored. Brady is good, but Pats offense is no 49ers and he is no Montana. Won't be able to blow up Panther D. Antowain smith is average back, wr core is solid. Brady will be solid but not spectacular. Hasn't faced any pressure from front 4 in a while.

Don't think the two-week layoff will matter. As far as pressure, it's the biggest sporting event of the year, both teams face pressure, whether fav or dog. No difference there IMO. I just see NE methodically working their way down the field like they always do, and gradually pulling away. Something to the tune of 27-10.
