The Preakness Stakes, the middle jewel in horse racing?s Triple Crown, takes place Saturday at Pimlico Race Course.

betED.com has Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver as the favorite against 11 challengers in Saturday's $1 million race on the 1 3/16-mile track.

Super Saver is a +250 moneyline favorite in Horse Racing Odds at betED.com, followed by Lookin At Lucky, which entered the Kentucky Derby as the favorite, at +300.

Paddy O?prado is at +550 followed by Dublin at +850. Caracortado rounds out the top five at +1000.

The Preakness will likely have one thing the Kentucky Derby did not: good weather. Churchill Downs was a muddy mess on Derby day, but Pimlico should be a fast track, with a few thunderstorms forecast for Friday but dry with partly cloudy skies and a post-time temperature near 75 on the radar for Saturday.

Super Saver, a three-year-old colt, will start from post eight and will once again have Calvin Borel on board. Borel rode Super Saver to victory in the Kentucky Derby and will be going for his second consecutive Preakness victory after winning last year's race with the filly Rachel Alexandra.

Super Saver is trained by Todd Pletcher, who picked up his first Derby win after failing with 24 previous horses.

The Preakness starts at approximately 4 pm ET and will be broadcast on NBC.

The Triple Crown races finish up June 5 at Belmont Park with the running of the 1 1/2-mile Belmont Stakes.
