spurs-6.5
When New Jersey was desperately attempting to narrow a nine-point
deficit in the fourth quarter of Game 5, San Antonio had Steve Kerr
on the floor. Kerr could be the worst defensive player in the series.
Yet New Jersey could not make a serious dent in the margin despite
this defensive liability for San Antonio.
The Spurs have taken away New Jersey's running game and at this point,
it doesn't look like the Nets can get it back. In a half-court game,
they can't shoot well enough to offset the interior offense that is
a "gimme" for San Antonio.
Then there is Jason Kidd's bad ankle. He needed to take 23 shots to
score 29 points the other night, and that production isn't efficient
enough
