Fellas,

i need some input. At the beginning of last weekend, there were still 187 people left out of the 300 that started in our $100.00 Survivor Pool. 127 folks lost on the Giants last week, and a few other lost on the Texans, Bucs, etc. There are now 48 of us left and the total pool is right at $30,000!!!

I have used:

Texans
Steelers
Packers
Chargers
Patriots

I have a game in mind this weekend, but before I say anything I wanted to pool the fellas here at MJ's. So, if you were in my shoes, who would you go with this week? Thanks in advance for the help.

I like the Ravens out of there bye week playing a beat up Texans team. Also looks like the Raiders should get a win but might be a let down game after the emotional road win in Houston last week.

Ravens would be my choice. Get that 30K!

Atlanta is gonna destroy CAROLINA- least thats what everyone left in your pool will probably think- as do i. Only thing that would give me pause about that game is Cam Newton in dome. Hes def good for 1 turnover, though will he engineer a late drive with legs and broken play throws downfield? possibly... though ATLANTA losing 2 in a row at home? Less likely. CAR isnt same defense, and plain cant run (neither could GB, yet ATL still bit on play action - not sure why). Granted every game is independant of previous outcome (to an extent), but ATL would be my play

BALT is a great play too, as HOU passing game is plain remedial at best w/o johnson in there for comfort for Schaub. They can run, and would think their best chance is doing that -though cant see a way they WIN, its clearly BALT's game to lose.

Yeah, man. I'm with you. Cam scares the shit out of me. He has that knack of keeping his team in the game until the very end. I don't see Atlanta losing two in a row at home either, but I feel a little more confortable with the Ravens at home, off a bye.

Thanks for the post!

As of this morning, I think I am going with the Ravens this weekend. I like the Jets, but much like the Giants last week, I feel like the majority of the folks left in our pool will be on them. Truth be told, it looks TOO EASY.

Thanks for all the insight!

Im using the Raiders. I try to use the best available team that the majority will not be on.

Clem, I just don't trust Jason Campbell and I feel like this could be a HUGE letdown game after a very emotional win in Houston last week.

I am going GB this weekend personally. Only 5 of us left in my smaller pool and that just seems like an easy pick this week.......

So far used:

SF
PITT
SD
TB
Minn

I hear that. Love that pick. Wish I still had them.

Good luck!

Baltimore looks good for sure. However, it looks like you are using up many of the NFL elite. May want to consider Cincy at home to knock off Indy

For you Bama...I like Baltimore coming off a bye facing a Houston team without Andre Johnson. I personally think 8 points is a lot to bet on, but for Survivor....all you need is a W of course.

I also like Cincy and Oakland....but if I had to make a choice I would go Baltimore

What do you fellas think about the Bengals this weekend? Not trying to be cute, just wondering if the Colts has a shot at winning their first game of the season this week?
