Alabama A&M pk 1H vs. Ark Pine Bluff (5dimes) ESPNU
Think that A&M wins this one SU (they are a +1 dog) but I like the first half more. More on that in a bit.
These teams met earlier this season and Ark PB came away with a 23-21 win (at A&M), due in large part to 2H TD passes of 63 and 35 yards.
Nobody expected Ark to make it his far. A&M on the other hand has been here 4 times in the last 7 years, although they have been unable to get it done and got embarrased last year by Grambling. I look for them to come out FIRED UP.
Ark gives up 4.6 yds per rush and A&M will be happy to grind it out with two capable backs and a QB who can run it as well. Although Ark is pretty balanced they depend heavily on their QB Wallace, the nation's pass efficiency leader. BUT here's the deal, he is suspended for the first half, having gotten into a dustup with a DB in their last game. Their backup is 11-25 for 3tds and 1int in very limited playing time.
I like A&M to come out on a mission and exploit a good rungame matchup in order to build a lead before Wallace comes in.
