made a couple bucks on nova on saturday by betting the in-game live betting. didn't get a feel for it until a couple cuse players got their 4th fouls early and i knew nova wouldn't have a problem from then on out.

g'town played some great D vs. Notre Dame and if they can force some poor shooting by syracuse tonight, it could get ugly. this line's down a point from the opening line and im gonna just watch it til tip. if it stays at 12.0 i'll probably make a small play on g'town and if it is in play for live betting at 12.5 i'll get on whatever side's got + odds to start and will be watching. if syracuse is able to hold pretty even with the hoyas for a while, i'll be able to get some good odds on g'town, as soon as they get cuse in foul trouble or make a good run i'll have to get on g'town heavy as cheaply as i can and then hope they start rolling so i can hedge a little with some really heavy syracuse odds to bring down the risk on my g'town side.

syracuse just seemed outmatched the more the game went on v. nova and nova wasn't exactly strokin' it.

what are everyone's thoughts on this one?

I am a SU Grad and now live near Syracuse. Boeheim's team is loaded w/ young talented players. Donte Green will not graduate and will probably go Pro after another year. He broke Carmello's Frosh scoring record. They haven't discovered how to play Jim's matchup zone D which has been the key to success for past SU teams.

They haven't faired well OTR so far in Conference and even folded in the 2nd half vs. a more experienced Nova at the Dome. They will thrive on the weaker BE teams but will have their hands full w/ the Hoyas. I am looking at the OVER in tonight's game especially in the 2nd half. GL!

willow - what are some of your reasons for the Over play? I was leaning towards the Under. 'Cuse's zone defense has fared well against G-Town's offense in past years, though I am awareof the youth and inexperience you point out above. Also the Hoyas are a really good defensive squad.

G'Town might blow Cuse out of the building. This Cuse has talent, but absolutely no chemistry and is flat-out awful.

SU doesn't play defense like the sucessful teams of the past. They will put points on the board even against the Hoyas. The Hoyas have a better offensive team than in the past. The Cuse is strictly an offensive squad. Siena hung 89 on SU, UMASS 107,RI 91 and in Conference Nova 81 and WV 81. If SU hits their ave which is in the low 70's then this game easily goes into the 150's. I feel that past trends do not apply to this year's SU/G'twn matchup, this Cuse team has never played the Hoyas. GL w/ whatever you decide!
I learned many years ago that playing too many pieces makes the bookies smile. If I had to bet this game, I would take the OVER, it's now at 143. I personally don't see a play that I will make until Wed.

5 of 6 syr con gms have gone under the total.

That's what I was looking at. Its not so much the personnel that Cuse has, its the fact that offense doesn't put up as many points against a Zone.

Both teams rebound well, so hopefully not many 2nd chance points. I'm going with a small play on the Under.

There is also a tendency for Big East/Big Monday games to go Under.
