If my memory serves me correct, Syracuse is virtually unbeatable in preseason tournaments. I think it is difficult to match up with the zone early in the season, especially for Tex Tech freshmen laiden lineup. People will be jumping on Tex Tech because of Syracuse's poor performance against Cornell. But that game means everything to Cornell and nothing to Syracuse. They won and now they will move on to yet another Preseason title. Remember that Syracuse plays almost all Juniors and Senior McNamara and Freshman Devendorf, so this is an experience team. Syracuse will win tonight and again on Saturday. good luck!

I can recall three preseason tournaments that Syracuse has one in the past 6 years or so. They won last year's preseason NIT, they won another preseason NIT a few years earlier by beating Wake Forest in the final after getting blown out in the first half Boeheim turned to the full court press in the second half and they won the game. And SU won a preseason tourney a few years earlier in Hawaii.

Add another preseason tournament trophy to the case!

Florida is pretty good, but they are not going to beat Syracuse. I estimate the line will be 5 and I look for Syracuse to win by 8-10. The 2-3 zone will be too much for this young Florida team. Although Green and Humphrey looked good, they are going to have to really shoot well to have a chance. Syracuse starting 5 have already gelled as they have played together for years now. Devendorf and the other white guy are other 3 point shooters to compliment McNamara. Most importantly of all, Watkins, Nichols, McCroskey and Roberts are long and athletic, and will be able to handle Florida's young front court. This Syracuse team is very unselfish as well and too much for Donovan's squad!
