have not said that much in last five years!

The crowd was awesome tonight. Felt like the late 80's again. The Dome was rocking, especially the second half. Nobody was in their seats.

Biggest difference this years is Marrrone has these kids playing with some heart. They fought tooth and nail every play. Their secondary problems are evident but that defense likes to hit.

Wonder how many teams would like to have Paulus now, even if only for one year. He had some zip on the ball tonight which shows that his arm strength is coming back. Made some mistakes but he has a ton of heart.

GO ORANGE!!

How many teams would want Paulus? :mj07:

You beat NW and lost to Minny at home from the shite Big 10. Paulus is an average to below average QB. Who you should be praising is Mike Williams. Now, he is a stud. If it weren't for him, Paulus would look horrific, IMO. Glad you are happy about your team's win, but let's not get too excited and far-fetched!

I think that paulus has shown glimpses of why he was a top rated recruit FIVE years ago. To be out of football for four years and playing behind the one of the worst OL in D1, he has preformed remarkable. Let's not forget, he basically had three weeks of camp to make up for four years of absense. I have watched alot of football and seen some horrific quaterbacking this year and this from guys who are jr and seniors who have been in their system for years. To say he is below average is ridiculous. He obviously has no NFL future due to his size, but you can not ignore his obvious talent at this level. The kid has all the tangibles that make great quarterbacks except size.

We got a couple of years to go before we are respectable again but hopefully we have turned the corner. I suppose we could have played some D2 school non conference and padded our record but Syracuse has never done that in football. Hopefully are recruiting improves as the product on the field continues to improve and we can return to being a perenial top 20 team as we were from 86-2000.
