NCAABB RECORD 1-0
Taking the Orangemen again tonight. It will not be as easy as last night but I still see the Orangemen led by Warrick, Pace, Forth and McNamara being too much for Memphis at the Garden. Syracuse is a dynamite preseason tournament team, especially in the Garden, where a few years back they knocked off a highly ranked Wake Forest team. In that game they were down double digits in the first half. Boeheim came out with the press in the second half and SU took over the game. If SU goes down big in the first half tonight I am not worried, because Syracuse will implement the FULL COURT PRESS, which Memphis likely is not expecting and will be unprepared to handle the pressure, especially with the length and athleticism of Warrick, Pace, Nichols and others. I am confident that the Orange will once again win a preseason crown.
For those of you that didn't know SU did lose to Memphis in the Garden the year Wagner played. The only difference is that was the postseason NIT, and that Syracuse team was lousy, the Shumpert years. The tables have turned, and this game tonight will be another notch under the Orangemen's belt on their way to a definite number 1 National ranking within the next couple months.
