Has anyone tried the "home team chase system"? I heard a few talk about it last year but havent heard anything since. If I remember it , you play on the home team of a series when it begins and chase that team until the series is over. I'm not sure if you chase into the next home series with that team or not. I've been watching the system for the first week and it looks very profitable. Unless a team is God awful, there are not many that will get swept at home. Anyone have anything to add to this? Thoughts welcomed. Happy Easter!

I did it on a limited basis last year, you just can't take every home team. Only 4 teams last year made it through the year without getting swept at home at least once (only 1 team did not get swept on the road). So far the AL teams have avoided getting swept at home. The NL teams had 3 teams get swept in their opening series (HOU, STL, PHL). Do the math, getting swept will hurt big time. Good luck to all.

I realize there will be some teams that get swept at home, but if you play all teams at the start of a series, you will win alot more than lose. It's a slow and steady course, but a profit should be made. I've tracked it so far this season and am up 13 units in week one. Yes, Hou, StL, Phil, and now SF have gotten swept. But 22 winners to date overshadow the loses, thus a profit. You have to be on top of the schedule and keep up to date when a new series starts, it's time consuming but worth it. I'm going to continue to track this for another week or two before I jump in. Thanks for the insights.

So far I have the AL at 12-0 (throwing out the CHI/MIN series because the first game was postponed and I won't chase a two game series. And CLE/SEA was snowed out totally). However I have the NL at 11-5 (you missed WAS getting swept by ARZ in a 4 game series), and that can be costly. If a team gets swept in a 3 game series even if they were even money every game (which probably won't happen) you would lose 7 units. If you use that number, a team has to go 22-3 for the season to turn a profit, if the team is a favorite in ANY of the games you are probably looking at a loss. Last year 9 NL teams got swept at home at LEAST 3 times, in the AL it happened only twice (with KC leading the way getting swept 6 times). It seems to work better in the AL. Not saying that it can't work, you just have to pick your spots. I did last year and turned a small profit, I am doing it again this year but not every team. By the way, I believe the NYM were the only NL team last year not to get swept at home, in the AL I have TOR, TB, and MIN (I could be wrong, and I threw out two game series and any series where the first game got postponed). The NYY were the only team in baseball not to get swept on the road, and don't forget when the NYY swept BOSOX IN BOSTON in a FIVE GAME series!! Ouch!! That one would have hurt. Just trying to help, best of luck.

Thanks for the great info. Yes, I am believing that you have to pick your spots especially with the heavy favorites cause they will kill your bankroll if they ever got swept. Plus you would need alot of units to chase. Good stuff, thanks for the numbers.
