"...Quo fas et gloria ducunt..."
after having reviewed the upcoming NCAA college football season, I now have time to delve into today's MLB pays..errrr...plays.

record last nite: 1-1 (-.10 unitz)
OVERALL: 20-12-1 (+7.20 unitz)

game 1: ARIZONA (-155) vs HOUSTON
what scares me here is that all stats point to a houston win here...
ARI is 14-3 when Schilling starts.
ARI is 17-9 in game one of a series.
ARI is 17-6 in their last 23 road games.
HOU is 1-3 when Elarton starts vs ARI.
HOU is 2-8 in Elarton's last 10 starts.
HOU is 5-2 in their last seven home games.
(thnx for covers.com)
and both teams' bats are smoking.
I'm looking for Shilling to continue his pitching mastery.

game 2: CUBS (-110) what???? or METS.
yes, yes...they think that the REAL R.Reed will show up and pitch a gem today, hence the low money on the CUBBIES. Wood, is winless in his last two, but he hasn't pitched BAD.
I think the Cuobbies bats are better than the METS, hence this pick.

game 3: K.C (-105) vs DETROIT.
picking the hotter team here of late, and there's no hotter team than K.C that knocked off CLEVELAND 3 of 4 on the road and ALMOST swept..!!! too bad, eh...? what IS wrong with that INDIANS team, eh???

new motto for me: keep it simple.
good luck to all tonite.
