There have been bigger faves in NHL. Atlanta Thrashers in their 1st season had some games where they were massive underdogs. Same holds true for the Ottawa Sens their 1st season.

In 1992 Pittsburgh Penguins at home were -635 (closing line) against the Sens. Also that same year Chicago Blackhawks were -600 faves at home against San Jose Sharks.

By the way that Sabres game closed at -480 at MGM properties in Nevada.

That's crazy Kick....thanks for the stats. That was 23 years ago....right about when I started. Probably why I don't remember. But, since then I don't think there's been a crazier line

Now if you really want your head to spin there were some Over/Unders with the Oilers in the 80's that were at 8.5.

And yes I am not kidding.

Back in 90's I remember being at Stardust and looking at old lines.......I'll still never forget my Leafs playing the Oilers and Over 8.5 goals was -110.

And the game went over the total.
