anyone know why?

Shouldn't be. It was off the board earlier last week when Pachall was out with an unknown shoulder issue. But, he came back and was fine. Ed Wesley, RB, has been dinged up lately, but that shouldn't have caused any problems. Patterson hinted at academic issues, but declined to elaborate on a specific player or players. Depth Chart doesn't give any clues to anyone important being left off.

Some rumors a backup DE left the Baylor squad on Thurs. Wouldn't think that would cause taking game off board either.

UPDATE: I'm being told it is a backup that has some grade issues.

Definitely off the board... Donno why?

Hmmm??

I haven't heard a thing today other than what I posted earlier. I've just checked VegasInsider and the still show the game listed. Not sure how reliable that is.

UPDATE: I just read on another board if it is actually off the board, it could be for an "unusual betting pattern". I don't know. For personal reasons, I'm not betting online anymore, but I kinda wish I was because a couple of places have it for TCU -5.

Found out reason it's off the board at some places is that Pachall and Wesley are listed as probable. They will play though.

Joe - At first when the spread was at 9, I liked Baylor... after watching it drop to 7 or 6- I like TCU... thoughts?

All the intangibles pointed to a -10 spread in favor of TCU from the beginning. Lots of money coming in on the Bears due to loss of Andy Dalton and Jeremy Kerely. New QB, new OL (even though some saw playing time last year) equals uneasy bettors. Especially when Pachall and Wesley were dinged up.

Baylor's offense doesn't have a RB. RGIII is going to try and win this all by himself by running and throwing. There could be some big plays early, but Patterson always adjusts.

The Baylor defense is going to be awful. They are going to try and run a version of TCU's 4-2-5 defense with players that aren't ideal to run it. LBs converted to DE and safeties converted to LBs. Lots of backups thrust into a starting role out of necessity.

It may rain now on Friday according to the forecast. TCU has the backs to make this a "grind it out on the groung" type game. Baylor lost the only good RB they had when he was drafted.

I'll turn in my Frog Club card if this game isn't at least a 13 pt win for the Horned Frogs.
