SOUTHERN MISS ?2.5 - TCU may be a perfect 10-0 and ranked #9 in the country, but I feel that they have been living a charmed life vs. an unimpressive schedule, and that their joy ride will end tonight. Southern Miss has always enjoyed a tremendous home field advantage, and this year has been no exception, as they are 4-1 at home while winning by an average of 14.6 points! Moreover, their lone home loss came against Nebraska, and the Golden Eagles are a perfect 6-0 S/U and 5-1 ATS in conference play, beating their C-USA opponents by an average of 13.3 points. By comparison, TCU is only winning their road conference games by an average of 4.3 points, despite having not yet faced an opponent as talented as this Southern Miss team. Finally, Southern Miss is 31-16, 66.0% ATS the last 47 times that they have been a home favorite, and I like them to keep this streak going tonight by handing the Horned Frogs their first loss in front of a national TV audience.
