Red sox? they may be lucky to win another game.

Cubs? aren't they in a pennant race?

Milwaukee maybe another team that has packed it in.

Lesson learned tonight though.

philly and atlanta pennant race teams who just don't look there. Don't be surprised if the mets do win the east.


NCU CAUGHT IT TOO: everybody liked the cubs, and for good reason but taking these uninspired teams on the road is a no no from now on. but wait till tomorrow we will probably be on them again.

man, as i write this the cubs are down 11-0 in the 3rd. maybe we will have a cleveland repeat. would'nt that be something

i was just coming in to post that about the cubs,and to say the mets have a great shot at taking it because the phils and braves are playing not to make a mistake,trying not to lose and you can't play that way you have to play to win, if you play not to lose thats when you make more mistakes and score less runs.

you are correct fletcher,yes the mets are playing great ball right now with excellent pitching. the braves are just going thru the motions, i guess from all the years of success. philly i don't believe still knows how to win in crucial situations. mets may and just may win the dam division. would'nt that be something.

 

[Take Two ?]

Mets MAY win the division - the Braves and Phillies are srtuggling. AND the Mets play 9 of 12 against Pirates and Expos who we all know are fairly bad teams.

I am thinking of betting every remaining game on the Mets and Arizona.

Both have a majority of the games against the dregs of their respectice leagues, Zona mostly at home - any thoughts on this ploy???

i am doing the same thing then when they lose if they do i will double up and i think this will do ok into the playoffs.
