Baltimore vs NYJ
This game could honestly go either way, based on a couple of big special teams/defensive plays. I dont think it is any secret that Baltimore will be able to make the Jets become 1-dimensional (forcing Quincy Carter to beat them) I dont think Quincy can do that, but I am certain that the Jets offense is vanilla enough to allow Quincy to not lose it. Conversely, I dont think that the Baltimore offense is good enough to win the game alone either. The game will be won by a big play somewhere....I am not a psychic, nor are you, so I suggest staying away.
Pittsburgh at Cleveland
Well.....this was pegged to be my big play of the day, but a big mouth on Clevelands side, and an unexpected support group for Cleveland has me laying back a tad. I still think that this is a tough spot for the Steelers for obvious reasons. The Duce is probably not playing, which is think is huge in this game. The Bus ran well over 30 times last week, and is not built to be plowed like he once was. The Browns defense is good enough to slow down the running attack. The Browns have been one of the best home teams in the NFL this year too, and in a big divisional game, getting points at home.....I will take em.
Houston at Indy
I am not a big fan of Indy's defense, but there is just something about that offense in the dome that makes you want to give a lot of points. I feel that Houston plus all of these points is a sucker bet. If Indy wins this game, it will be a blowout. James will get his 150 plus total yards, Peyton will get his 300+ and 3 scores. Indy will put up close to 40, and lets see if Houston will stay within 10...I doubt it.
Chicago at Tennessee
Tough spot for Chicago here as Tennessee is getting desperate, and I believe that Tennessee goes on the road for 3 straight games after this one. The Titans know that have to get a win here or the season may be lost. Chicago wins games and covers games because they seem to be well coached and give great effort. Tennesee should match that effort here and have much more talent. I hesitate to give points here, so I may buy down, or ML play, but Tenn wont lose here.
Tampa at Atlanta
Honestly no opinion on this one.
Detroit at Jax
For some reason I like the Lions in this spot. I get the feeling that Jax will not concentrate on stopping the run as they have against most other opponants due to the fact that the Lions are the worst running team in the NFL.....I think that Kevin Jones will have a few big runs as a result, which will confuse the Jax D. Not sure that David Gerrard will be able to pull out the win here.....
Seattle at St Louis
I like the Rams here. St Louis will give it another go at home where they are catching points. This time a divisional game, which means more. I am not crazy about the Rams, dont get me wrong, but I am not sure that Seattle is good enough to be favored here.
KC at New Orleans
My beloved Chefs......what has happened??? Now they go in at road favorites at 3-5 without their best player. If I could bet against them, I probably would....as about a million systems say to bet on New Orleans here....but I cant so I wont.
Cinci at Washington
Big game next week for the Bungles.....home for the Steelers. Inter conference game on the road this week....possible look ahead? It may not matter too......Washington is a bad matchup for Cincy.....great running game. Will be able to stuff the run and make Carson beat them....wont happen, he sucks. I like Washington
Minnesota at GB
Minny doesnt have that threat without Moss.....no double teams, means less room to throw for Culpepper. 4 points kinda scares me in what should be a good game, but a dome team in the cold has never been a good idea. Take Green Bay small
NYG at Arizona
I am not a Giant believer yet. I do think that Arizona is good at home, and they are catching points! If you look at the schedule and I am sure the Cards have......the Cardinals have 3 winnable games that could take their record to 6-5!!! With their division that could put them right in the race....I am sure they will be fired up for this game. Take em!
Carolina vs San Fran
Not sure here......You would think that carolina has the better team...but I am not so sure anymore. I cant ask either of these teams to win money for me, so I wont
Buffalo at new England
Buffalo has found running game, and it will be needed tonight. This running game could open things up for Bledsoe just enough to get the cover here. I never want to give this many points in the NFL, and I wont here. Buffalo has played well of late, and the defense may be able to keep this one close. Gimme the points, in what may be a surprisingly high scoring game.
Philly at Dallas
Will get more into this one later, but I love the points in this game!!!
Good luck out there
