Nfl: 80-69-3
couple of key things come in to play here. Yes.....we all know how hard it is to beat seattle at home. But look who they have played at home this year...... Minnesota, tampa bay, tennessee, jacksonville and san francisco. Other than the 49ers, they haven't played anybody. In fact, they have played three teams all year that have a winning record.
Does mean that they aren't any good? Of course not. But are they good enough to give a 9-2 drew brees led saints team a touchdown? I certainly don't think so. The stats don't say so either. Both teams are mediocre against the run. Saints are #15 and seattle #16. Against the pass, however, different story. Seattle is #1 against the pass and new orleans is #3. 17 yards per game is what sets them apart......no big deal. So then you need to ask yourself......in a virtually even defensive match up, do you want to take russell wilson or drew brees? Throw in a free touchdown for drew brees and to me it's a no brainer.
I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if new orleans wins this game outright...I believe they are a better team....but i will gladly take the 6.5 points.
new orleans +6.5
new orleans +3.5 1st half
